What a night it was! Sparkly and bubbly!

Thanks to Ranulf Middleton from D’Arcy Wines in Cheltenham our wine tasting event turned to be awesome.

We made a lot of discoveries. Who would’ve thought that out of all fruits on the vine winemakers will only leave 4 to ripen in order to get all the flavour to the berries;  that there are some unique sorts of grape that grow only in unique parts of Italy and this grape can change the taste of commonly known wine completely?

We’ve learnt about combining food and wine and found out that there’s no rule really about white wine and a fish. And got quite excited to find out that there’s a big resurgence of CAVA.

The night was fun, light, friendly and informal. And it didn’t matter how well you knew your wines because the best party is always a combination of a welcoming host, great guests and fantastic wines! We’ve been lucky to have all of these, and if you couldn’t make it this time – you really missed a great event.

The good news – StMichaels along with the D’Arcy Wines are already planning the next wine tasting party this summer: sherries, fruits, artesian bread… we can’t wait!
