Celebrating The Art with Ange Mullen-Bryan’s paintings.

April 20, 2018

At St Michael’s we celebrate art in every aspect of it: whether it is an egg decorating, a creating of a dish or a exhibition. Come over and enjoy our artistic span – our menu is full of masterpieces as well as our walls: for the next few weeks at our ongoing Art Sale Gallery we are proud to present the works of Ange Mullen-Bryan.

Ange Mullen-Bryan works from her studio in Painswick, but her paintings are mainly inspired by the lakes, forests and sky from the vast Swedish landscape and a very particular Nordic light.
She describes her paintings as a plot points on a journey: “be it a physical or emotional one. As if I were looking for the map to navigate my way through this landscape, I let the act of painting lead me”

Come along and enjoy these red barns and homesteads; sharp, crackling branches lash agains smooth snow; hot lupins, dark pines, dripping lakes and quiet fires. Our new exhibition is a triumph of light and colours.
